Meal Schedule:
The day starts shortly before sunrise and while our guests enjoy a chorus of birds and a breathtaking African sunrise, there is be a light continental breakfast. This meal includes fresh coffee and tea, home-made rusks, fruit, cereals and delightful, freshly-baked muffins and pastries. Alternatively guests can request tea or coffee on their verandas to enjoy the early morning views over the plains, with a smaller selection of light breakfast items. Morning activities then commence and guests return to camp at their leisure without any pressure (from meal schedule or stomachs!) to “get back for breakfast”!
A hearty brunch is served each day at 11am with a wide range of tasty foods perfect for the late morning, including quiches, salads, home-baked breads, fruits, cold meats and eggs to order.
After a wonderfully relaxed and unscheduled mid-day siesta time (approximately 12.00am – 4pm), guests return for a much anticipated “high tea” where iced teas, regular tea, herbal teas and fresh coffee is served, along with a small variety of mouthwatering savoury and sweet delicacies. Topped up before their evening activities, guests then leave camp to return at sunset or an hour later (e.g. 8pm), if they choose to add a night drive en-route to camp.
Dinners are served at individual group tables and at times catering to the group’s choice of activity (ranging from 7pm – 9pm). Platters of thoughtful delicacies will be brought to each table by waiters to enable guests to select their own portions. Some guests may choose to embark on their night drive only after dinner (e.g. 8pm – 10pm), in which case the guide may carry a flask of hot chocolate on the game drive.
“Bush” dinners or private dinners served on a guest’s veranda may also be arranged.
House wines and local beers are included in the guest package. Other alcoholic beverages such as spirits and champagne are not included.
